The second season of “Master Of None” has officially started filming!

Aziz Ansari’s Netflix comedy series, Master of None, became one of our favorite shows when it debuted last November.

The series, developed by Ansari and Parks and Recreation writer, Alan Yang, stars Ansari as 30-year-old Dev, a struggling actor. Each episode follows Dev and his friends as they try to figure out their lives in New York.

Master of None has already made quite an impact with its debut season — thanks to its diverse cast, truthful and humorous accounts of immigration (Ansari’s real life parents appeared in the episode centered on the first-generation experience, and they are incredible), critiques of racism and sexism, and extremely relatable themes.

Master of None has received FOUR Emmy nominations: Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, as well as two nominations for Aziz for writing and directing “Parents” — the aforementioned episode starring his mother and father.

So you were probably thrilled to see this on Ansari’s Instagram this morning:

YAY!! SEASON TWO!!

Ansari’s caption reads:

“First day of filming season 2. I am very excited about this season and hope everyone likes it. Thanks for your support of this show. Also, we got 4 Emmy noms – series, acting, writing, and directing!! I forgot to post about that. Proud of the #MasterofNone team.”

Earlier this year, Ansari announced that the second season will be available on Netflix in April 2017.

We can’t wait!
