Sean “Diddy” Combs just changed his name AGAIN, and we can’t keep up
BREAKING: The artist formerly known as Sean “Diddy” Combs has changed his name. He will henceforth be known as “Love” or “Brother Love.”
The musician, who holds the honor of being the world’s highest-paid entertainer, took to Twitter on Saturday to announce the name change. Incidentally, it also happened to be his 48th birthday. Brother Love posted a video explaining his reasoning for the switch.
“Hey, what’s up y’all. I have some very serious, serious news. I’ve been praying on this, and I decided…I know it’s risky because I know it could come off as corny to some people…I decided to change my name again,” Brother Love explained in the video. “I’m just not who I am [sic] before. I’m something different. So my new name is Love, a.k.a. Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers but Love or Brother Love. Ok? It’s my birthday. I feel good. God is the greatest, I give him all the glory, and I thank my mama and daddy. Mwa!”
Hey, people change and people grow. Plus, on your birthday, you can do whatever you want. So if he wants to change his name to Love or Brother Love, so be it.

Let’s take a little trip through Brother Love’s naming history.
He was born Sean John Combs on November 4th, 1969. After making a name for himself with the record label he created, Bad Boy Entertainment, he started releasing rap music under the name Puff Daddy in 1997. In 2001, he chose a new stage name, P. Diddy. Then in 2005, he announced that he’d simply go by Diddy.
After going by Diddy for more than a decade, now it’s time for a new era: Brother Love.
Fan reactions seem mixed, with a lot of people saying that the true “Brother Love” is pro wrestling personality Bruce Prichard.
You mean like the wrestling manager? That's gimmick infringement. @HeyHeyItsConrad @bruceprichard @PrichardShow pic.twitter.com/3ykU0s5rRu

But hey, the Wu Tang Clan recognizes the name change. Which is basically all any of us can ask for.

Somehow we think the two won’t get confused. You do you, Brother Love (both of y’all).
