Freaking adorable wild sea otter gives birth live on Periscope

Awwwwwwww. Guys, a sea otter just gave birth outside the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and you can watch it here. Happy birthday, baby otter! (Spoiler alert: the miracle of birth can be messy.)

With guests and staff looking on, the pup was born in the Great Tide Pool outside the Aquarium. The Monterey Bay Aquarium posted on Facebook:

Mom and pup are not part of the Aquarium’s Sea Otter Program so they could return to the wild at any moment.
