“Scrubs” actor Donald Faison wrote a heartfelt post mourning his late ex-wife

Since he won our hearts as Dee’s boyfriend in Clueless, Donald Faison has been a staple on our screens. So we’re very sad to hear that his ex-wife, Lisa Askey, passed away yesterday. They were married for five years and share three children together.

On Instagram, Faison mourned the death of his ex-wife and spoke of how brave his children have been in the aftermath.

It’s incredibly sad to realize that these kids will now go through life without a mom, but we know that Faison and his current wife CaCee Cobb will be there to provide a ton of love and support.

"My son Dade is very brave. Today he and his brother Kobe and sister Kaya lost their mother. Lisa Askey Faison. She and I never really saw eye to eye but one thing we did share was our love for our children. RIP Lisa. You raised three beautiful children into fine adults and I am forever grateful for that. May god bless your soul with light and love," he wrote.

In the same post, he reposted a message that teenage Dade wrote on his own Insta. “I just wanted to say thank you so much mom! You have been there for me when I needed you most. I cant believe it has come to this but I know you are in a better place right now. I love you with all my heart and one day we shall meet again?. You worked so hard and never gave up no matter how hard times got. R.I.P mom and until next time!”

Dade is a fraternal twin with his sister Kaya, and they recently turned 18.

While we don’t yet know what lead to Askey’s death, we’re sending so much love to Donald and his family during this difficult time.
