Here’s your first peek at the “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder” crossover event, and it’s even fiercer than we imagined
Thank goodness for Shonda Rhimes, am I right? Seriously, I can’t imagine a world without Grey’s Anatomy or Scandal, and I wouldn’t want to. So when it was first announced that there would be a crossover event including two of the most powerful Shondaland characters, well, let’s just say I had a little freakout. And now that the first sneak peek at the Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder crossover event has arrived, my little TGIT heart has just about exploded. And I know I’m not alone.
The crossover event has been in the works for a while, and it’s been known that it would feature Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). However, now, ABC has released first-look footage as well as the plots for both episodes so fans can really get a picture of what’s to come. And let’s just say, it sounds amazing. But don’t just take my word for it, check out the episode plotlines (and promos!) from ABC:
During the Scandal hour of the crossover event, the two powerhouse women finally meet.
"In the midst of moving on from the White House, Olivia gets an unexpected visitor in criminal defense attorney Annalise Keating, who seeks her help in fast-tracking a judicial reform class action to the United States Supreme Court," the synopsis reads. "However, after Olivia’s recent fall from political grace, it’s going to be more challenging than ever to get the support they need."
Yeah, sounds (and looks) pretty amazing, right? Well, the fun won’t end after Scandal. Nope.
ABC will then extend the #blessed Shondaland crossover into How to Get Away with Murders‘ time slot.
"As Annalise’s class-action case hangs in the balance, a meeting with the esteemed Washington D.C. fixer, Olivia Pope, proves to be crucial in getting the opportunity to argue her case in the nation’s highest court," ABC details. "Meanwhile, Bonnie discovers concerning information pertaining to Simon that threatens to expose what really happened during night he was shot."
Is there anything fiercer than when Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating get together?! The Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder crossover event airs on March 1st at 9 p.m.
