Saturn is now entering Aquarius—here’s how it’s going to affect your love life
Prepare yourselves for some serious interference from the cosmos when it comes to relationships, because planetary movements are now dictating whether or not we will be able to define the relationship. Saturn is the planet of commitment in the zodiac. It represents the work that needs to be done in order to make a situation pan out. When it comes to matters of the heart, Saturn is the glue that holds a relationship together and also shows us how we commit to others. The sixth planet from the sun is also the guiding planet on how we can make a relationship last in the long term. Ultimately, the energy coming from the planet with the rings shows us how much energy and time we will give others, and vice versa.
Saturn is entering Aquarius on March 21st, officially changing up how we DTR and revolutionizing our relationship style. It will stay in Aquarius until March 7th, 2023, after a five-month retrograde in the sign of Capricorn lasting from July 1st until December 17, 2020. Yes, it’s an extremely long transit, but don’t worry too much. Saturn in this new position gives us a lot of time to figure out relationships and love.
In the meantime, here’s what Saturn entering Aquarius has in store for your love life, based on your zodiac sign.
Aries (March 21—April 19)
You may think like a free spirit or have a deep fear of commitment. Living in the moment is ideal. If you meet someone who can embrace your on-again-off-again relationship style, then go for it. DTR the relationship every day, depending on your moods, to remain present.
Taurus (April 20—May 20)
Your focus is on work—but you always have time for romance. At the persistence of your boo, you’ll have the DTR chat after a few months of dating. Love isn’t a priority; however, you’ll commit to ensure they don’t slip away, even if you’re not ready at the moment.
Gemini (May 21—June 20)
Here’s some real talk, Gemini! You want to open up relationships now, instead of committing to your one and only. This means exploring polyamory, being in a thrupple, or having a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. If you’re dating, you’ll choose to end it after a few low key meetups.
Cancer (June 21—July 22)
It’s typically easier for you to meet someone new than to let go—and that’s totally your M.O. now. DTR-ing with your possible partner will be tough, as you want to keep your options open while still in a relationship; you want to have your cake and eat it too.
Leo (July 23—Aug. 22)
You’re always one to rush into love, and your speedy romantic sentiments are always on your terms. Now, however, you’re experiencing a shift in your mindset. You’re itching for your partner to DTR and make the rules. For once, your regal heart is taking a backseat and letting someone else do the driving.
Virgo (Aug. 23—Sept. 22)
You know what you want and how you want it when it comes to love, thanks to the power of your finely tuned analytical skills. Now, you will use your mind to analyze the future of the relationship before you DTR with your potential boo—on your terms and timeline.
Libra (Sept. 23—Oct. 22)
There’s no such thing as a casual date for you during this Saturnian transit. You’ll jump right into having the commitment convo as you’re not willing to waste time on anyone who won’t be your honey. Opting to lock it down ASAP is how you’ll choose to date right now.
Scorpio (Oct. 23—Nov. 21)
We all know that you like to possess the person who you’re with, but you are choosing to open yourself up to less serious possibilities while you focus on other aspects of your life. Having a “love the one you’re with” mentality will keep the upcoming cool nights scorching hot.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22—Dec. 21)
Nothing freaks you out more than being forced to commit to one person. And you’re not down to be monogamous at the moment. But you’ll consider taking the situationship to the next level when you get jealous of your sweetie (who is being distant) chatting it up with another secret boo.
Capricorn (Dec. 22—Jan. 19)
You’re taking your time when it comes to committing to another. Finding the “right” person who lifts your spirit can take up to six months; another six months later, you’ll decide to up your romantic game and make it official (so you’ll know straight up if it’ll last).
Aquarius (Jan. 20—Feb. 18)
You’ll want to commit right away to your new boo. This means changing your social media relationship status immediately after your first date. For the first time, you’re itching to put a ring on it and act impulsively. Don’t rush it, Aquarius! Get to know each other, then move forward.
Pisces (Feb. 19—March 20)
You’ll stay ambiguous with your sweetie throughout this two-and-a-half-year transit. This means you are open to anything down the road and any situationship the wind brings. The lack of structure will be a good thing for the next few years, allowing you to swim freely. Commit to not committing.
While Saturn’s transit in Aquarius may last a while, trust that it will bring you some clarity when it comes to whether or not you should make things official with your current partner.
