It looks like we have to say goodbye to yet another “SNL” cast member
There are big shakeups going on at SNL these days, and we don’t know how to feel about it. Cast member Sasheer Zamata is apparently exiting Saturday Night Live after four seasons on the show.
This comes right on the heels of news that Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan are also saying goodbye to SNL.
Entertainment Tonight first broke the news that Zamata is leaving, reporting that she will not be returning for the show’s 43rd season, and NBC has yet to comment on the development.

Zamata is perhaps best known for her impression of former First Lady Michelle Obama, and has also been lauded for her impressions of pop culture figures like Rihanna and Beyoncé. She joined the cast in 2014 as the first Black female cast member since Maya Rudolph left in 2007.
The show has had one of its most successful and widely discussed seasons thanks to their coverage of the 2016 presidential election, and we’re definitely going to miss Zamata in the coming years!

Zamata’s plans post-SNL are unclear, but she told Vulture in March that she has big plans for her own empire, saying she wants to write and produce comedies and dramas. And she still wants to be in front of the camera, too, revealing:
"I want to be in a Marvel movie. I want to be a superhero. I want to kick ass and be like an action star. I want that Marvel money, I want a Marvel franchise, and I want to work for the next 11 years knowing I got jobs coming up."

We will miss her on our screens on Saturday nights, but can’t wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve next!
