Website shames Sarah Silverman for wearing a dress from Amazon three times *gasp*

When you find something you love, you wear it for every special occasion. Just ask Sarah Silverman, who seems quite fond of one particular dress that she found on Amazon.

During the month of May, Silverman was spotted wearing the same black, floral print dress to three occasions — the premiere of Love and Friendship, on stage for an interview for Late Night with Seth Meyers, and for a panel regarding the television show Masters of Sex. And when you see the dress, you’ll understand why.

It’s cute, it’s simple, and it obviously boosts Silverman’s confidence up when she needs to be “on.” The dress has a vintage note, but still remains fresh and fun. While she also used the same accessories (like a killer pair of fishnet stockings) it’s simply because, well, the look worked. However, some…disagree. Back in May, The Daily Mail “outed” Silverman for re-wearing the dress in article titled “Sarah Silverman dons same floral LBD for the THIRD time in a month on Late Night,” stating, “The two-time Emmy-winning writer has enlisted stylist duo Emily Current & Meritt Elliott for red carpet looks in the past, so it’s unclear why the outrageous public figure can’t find another ensemble to wear.”

Umm, ‘scuse me? Silverman just responded back yesterday, letting the Daily Mail know she’s worn it more than three times, thankyouverymuch. And she doesn’t really care if they’re ~judging~ her for it.

Silverman is definitely correct — it shouldn’t really be “scandalous” to wear the same thing to multiple events. In our eyes, we love the fact that she doesn’t ditch clothes after one wear, and knows what she likes. Let’s hope that the media attention doesn’t make her self conscious over wearing the dress to more camera-heavy events in the future. I mean, if we had to have one staple outfit, chances are it’ll look a lot like Silverman’s.
