Sarah Paulson just shot down THIS popular “American Horror Story” Season 6 theory
We’re no closer to figuring out the theme of American Horror Story than we were like, 15 promos ago. The FX anthology series has spared no expense at trying to confuse us as much as possible before the September 14th return, and they’re doing a pretty good job. Supposedly, the true theme of AHS 6 is out there, we just haven’t figured it out yet.
The misdirect and confusion hasn’t stopped us from desperately trying to guess the theme, and crafting up some pretty intense fan theories. One centers around the idea that this season will be about the infamous cult leader, Charles Manson, and knowing Ryan Murphy, he would do that story justice.

We’ve actually spent a lot of time thinking about this idea, but sadly, it’s not true. Or, it’s not true according to AHS star, Sarah Paulson.
Entertainment Tonight recently caught up with the three-peat Murphy collaborator, and point blankly asked her if Manson would somehow figure into this new season. Her response was short and to the point: NO.
“Wrong!” She explained to ET. “You can look me dead in the eyes. You are wrong, dead wrong. And you will see that I am not lying to you. I’m not pulling a little Jedi mind trick. You’re wrong!”
So just one more time, we’re wrong with our thinking that this season will revolve around Manson.
But then…remember that one time we were led to believe that Jon Snow was dead, an Kit Harington was like “I’m dead!” and then he WASN’T DEAD? AHS might be trying to take a page out of Game of Thrones‘ book and tell us we’re wrong, when we’re really right.
We’ll find out the real truth behind Season 6 in THREE WEEKS!!
