Sarah Michelle Gellar’s birthday message to Shannen Doherty is making us cry
Yesterday was a very special day for one of our favorite people, Shannen Doherty! It was her birthday, and we’re sending her so much love. And Sarah Michelle Gellar sent Doherty a sweet birthday tribute via Instagram.
Along with a heartfelt post that began, “Where do I even start with this birthday girl?!?” Gellar wrote about how much Doherty has inspired her over the years, and included a great throwback pic of the two of them laughing together. Even though this is making us feel all soft and mushy inside, we adore everything about it.
"She's inspired me...well since... even before I called her a friend," Gellar wrote in the caption. "But over the last year, I have watched her inspire and give hope to the world. I thought I knew how tough she was, but I didn't even have a clue to her power. When I think twice about leaving the house without makeup, Shannen shaved her head on the public stage. While I fiercely guard my privacy, she opened her life, her struggles, her fears and her journey to help people she has never even met. She is a true friend to everyone."
