Sarah Michelle Gellar just wore the most chic holiday outfit, Buffy would approve
Everyone’s favorite, iconic ’90s show Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been off the air for over thirteen years, but that doesn’t mean Sarah Michelle Gellar is done channeling her inner Buffy Summers. The actress, who spent seven seasons playing everyone’s favorite teenage vampire slayer, posted a photo to her Instagram that looked straight out of the ’90s (and Buffy’s closet). In the photo, Gellar is rocking a beautiful sequined gold Balmain dress and choker with thigh-high Stuart Weitzman boots.

It doesn’t surprise us that Gellar is feeling some ~serious~ Buffy vibes. Some of the top trends of 2016 have been ’90s staples. From chokers to baring your midriff in a crop top, 2016 was the year to accidentally dress like Buffy. Unfortunately, wooden daggers didn’t make a comeback as well.
The Balmain dress is not only a perfect look for those following the ’90s trend, it’s also an amazing holiday look as well. Sequins and gold during the holidays is such a welcome break from the constant red and green.
The actress has been seriously slaying the holiday fashion game, rocking a loose black top with the prettiest gold skirt, complete with a black leather jacket. It looks like SMG’s color of choice this holiday season is gold, and we definitely approve.
Seriously though, if Sarah Michelle Gellar ever decides to go into fashion, we’ll buy it all!
