Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have melted our Instagram hearts

Sarah Michelle Gellar is seriously one of our fave people. She’s a kickass warrior for gender equality, on top of being a wonderful person and a totally talented actress. Plus, Buffy?! I mean, come on.

Of course, we can’t forget her super cute relationship with Freddie Prinze Jr. (aka Daphne and Fred) which has made us say “D’AWWW” once again.

Yep, the couple has been married for over a decade, which is so crazy because it feels like just yesterday they were I Know What You Did Last Summer-ing. They actually met on the set of that ah-mazing horror movie back in 1996, but only started dating in 2000 and got married in 2002. The rest, as they say, is history.

Monday night, Sarah posted this selfie with her Prinze (get it?) on her Instagram:

The caption: “Sometimes even parents need a #DateNight Up past ten pm #PartyAnimals Married almost 13 years and still enjoying each other’s company <3”

HAPPY ALMOST ANNIVERSARY. It’s awesome to see our fave ’90s stars together after 13 years of marriage, going out on date nights and such after having two (adorbs) kids—Charlotte, 5, and Rocky, 2.

We got a little nostalgic about these two lovahs, so we did some deep-diving for vintage quotes about the early days of their romance circa 2001.

“We really didn’t dig each other, and then one day I gave her a ride to the gym,” Prinze told People. “We talked on the way up, and she was a cool chick.”

OK, that’s sweet, but back then he’s still playing it cool. Then this picture happened.

Apparently a trip to Bali clinched things for them: “It was the greatest experience of my entire life,” Prinze said. “I didn’t stop holding her hand the whole time.”

And here’s a good quote from Prinze from that same year: “If my girl wants to work for the rest of her life, and she wants me not to, I don’t care,” he told People. “I’ll chill out, and I’ll hang with the kids, and I’ll cook and I’ll clean. And I’ll love doing that.”

Back to present day and SMG’s Instagram, where she recently celebrated Freddie’s birthday AND International Woman’s Day:

She wrote: “Happy birthday to this guy @RealFPJ Thank you for showing me dreams are possible, and being the best partner a girl could ever have (esp on #InternationalWomensDay)”

OK, one more of SMG and FPJ, because we can’t help ourselves. This is Sarah’s very first Instagram post ever. Double D’aw.

Seriously, SMG, please keep these adorable relationship pics coming. We can’t get enough of them, you perfect human beings.
