Summer is right around the corner, and that means we’re shedding our winter layers and trying on sunnier looks. Our favorite teen vampire slayer recently did just that by lightening her lovely blonde locks — and she now looks like a different woman! Sarah Michelle Gellar dyed her hair a bright — almost platinum — blonde, and she’s totally ready to hit the beach.
“Got my hair did….and now I’m ready for summer. So summer…I’m waiting #JuneGloom (thanks @vspaeth and @alisherry),” Gellar captioned her Instagram photo, showing off her new ‘do.

Gellar has been a blonde for most of her life, dabbling here and there with shades of brunette. But this super-light color is different than her past dye jobs in that highlights reign supreme.

The former Buffy star has tried out many different shades on the blonde spectrum. Sarah Michelle Gellar seems to always be down for golden, ash-blonde hair any time, any day.
After a brunette phase, Gellar transitioned back to the lighter side via dark blonde (which she referred to as “bronde”).
And we don’t know how she does it, but her roots always blend in to her blonde seamlessly. Is it magic, or the work of a hairdresser who knows what they’re doing?
