Sarah Jessica Parker and her kids made a rare (and adorable) red carpet appearance
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are notably pretty darn private when it comes to family appearances, but Sunday night seemed to be an exception as the entire Parker-Broderick clan stepped out on Broadway to attend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory‘s opening night in NYC.
The family of five — Parker, Broderick, and their kids James Wilkie, 14, and twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta, 7½— smiled for photos before the show, with the proud mama taking to Instagram to share some of the family’s excitement both on their way to the production and from the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
“It’s a family affair,” Parker sings in an Instagram video posted to her account from the car.
"Yipee! On our way to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the whole family get to go and cheer for our dear @scottwittman and @marc_shaiman," Parker captioned the post, referencing the show's musical masterminds.
All five of the Parker-Broderick brood posed together outside the theater, and we are loving how they somehow pull off both celeb glam and everyday family.
The twins even got to meet all three “Charlie’s” at the after party! Talk about a golden ticket.
It’s obvious from their chic, candy-colored outfits that the girls take after their fashionista mama. As the Sex and the City alum told Entertainment Tonight back in November, “Apparently one of my daughters is plotting to take over. She has designs, so to speak, on running as she says ‘Mama’s company.’”
"If I walk on the stairs or they see me getting dressed, they have opinions on what I'm wearing," Parker admitted at the time of all three of her kids. "They don't offer up design ideas yet, but I'm sure that's moments away from happening."
Maybe the siblings learned a thing or two about business from Willy Wonka on Sunday? Regardless, they definitely had a blast — and we’re all about any news (and photos!) we can get of this adorable family.
