Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t think she’s in a feud with Kim Cattrall, and we *couldn’t help but wonder* when this is going to end
To be honest, we’re not quite sure why the thing going on between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall is being referred to as a “feud,” and neither does SJP. This whole thing reignited when SJP wanted to make another Sex and the City movie and Cattrall didn’t. At some point, it started being referred to as a “catfight” in the media, which is not only base-level and degrading to women, but not even really accurate to the situation.
Parker put all her feelings on the table and told Vulture.com that, from her standpoint, “there is no catfight.”
"I have never uttered an unkind, unsupportive, unfriendly word, so I would love to redefine it," Parker began. "I also want to remind everybody that there were four women on the set and I spent equal time with all of them, so this was not a set with two women who didn’t get along. I’ve always held Kim’s work in high regard and always appreciative of her contributions. If she chooses not to do the third movie, there’s not a lot I can do to change her mind and we must respect it. That’s the only thing I’ve ever said about it, you know?
Parker actually had a lot more to say on the subject, but makes her point clear that she’s “never fought with someone publicly” ever.
“There is no catfight,” Parker continued. “There never has been a catfight. I’ve never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I. And I spent time with all of the women on the set. People need to recall that it wasn’t just two women on the set fighting because that just never happened.”
Obviously, there are two sides to every story and we’re sure Cattrall has her own version of this feud or non-feud or whatever it is. Cattrall publicly referred to Parker as “cruel” in an Instagram post earlier this year, so we really have no idea what went on in this relationship.
