Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams Celebrated Their Would-Be Wedding Day With Fake Ceremony Pics
The "Bride to Be" veil is just too cute.
As if we need any more confirmation of how cute of a couple Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are, the two just shared the sweetest Instagram post in honor of their original wedding date, which was postponed due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Both Hyland and Adams posted their own tribute to the planned wedding date on August 9th. In Hyland’s series of photos, the couple is laughing and posing as if it is their actual wedding day, making the most of the moment in what looks like a wine vineyard. Hyland is wearing all white and donning a wide-brimmed hat with a veil that reads “Bride To Be.”
“We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine,” Hyland wrote in the caption.
With thousands of couples having to cancel or postpone their planned nuptials this year, Hyland’s post is a relatable mood.
Adams posted a similar photo, but Hyland is sticking out her tongue and, you know, he mentions her butt in the caption. “We were supposed to get married today. We didn’t. But I still got to grab a butt. So, ya know, still pretttty cool.”
The Modern Family star and former Bachelorette contestant announced their engagement last July with equally romantic photos and a swoon-worthy video that shows the moment Adams got down on one knee. The two started dating in 2017 after flirting on Twitter when Hyland reached out to Adams about his appearance on Bachelor in Paradise. Since then, the couple has shared countless adorable photos on their social media accounts, with heartfelt captions that give followers a glimpse into their mutually supportive relationship.
“We definitely want to get married one day and have the wedding of our dreams and have everybody that we love there,” Hyland told People in late July. “But we postponed wedding planning because we want to be able to focus on what’s important right now, and that’s helping to spread information to wear masks and to only go out for essential needs and also take a really big look inside yourself and reflect on how you treat others.”
Hyland, who has had two kidney transplants due to a condition called kidney dysplasia, is immunocompromised, and she and her husband-to-be have been adamant about urging others to do their part in helping to stop the spread of the virus—especially for those like her who may have invisible illnesses.
