Sarah Hyland hasn’t introduced Wells Adams to her “Modern Family” family yet for this reason
When you star in one of television’s biggest comedies, you’re bound to be close with your castmates. Sarah Hyland’s boyfriend Wells Adams hasn’t met her “family” yet, and Hyland credited the fact that it’s kind of a scary mission to accomplish. By family, of course we mean the cast and crew of her hit television show Modern Family.
Hyland has been on the show since it started up in 2009. Playing the role of eldest daughter Haley Dunphy, Hyland was introduced to the world as the perfect “typical teenager.” While she’s been involved in the entertainment industry since she was a child, the role was truly her breakout.
As for Adams, he’s likely pretty familiar to fans of The Bachelor franchise. He’s appeared on a season of The Bachelorette, as well as Bachelor In Paradise. The two have reportedly been friends for a bit, but romance rumors started sparking up last month — and based on their Instagram photos, it looks like they’re officially dating.
While it’s still very fresh and new, Hyland has a very good reason as to why she doesn’t want to rush an introduction between Adams and the Modern Family cast and crew — not only is it a lot of people, but it’s a lot of people she’s grown incredibly close to.
"These people have become my real-life family. It’s almost like, you gotta, Hyland said to Entertainment Tonight. "Like, for guys, you have to meet the parents, which is stressful. But then I think the more stressful thing is to meet the second family, which is not only the Dunphy family but the entire cast, and the entire crew and all of our writers, and everybody that’s involved."
Hyland made it pretty clear that she’s in no rush.
"That’s the second family that I think is the most terrifying thing for guys that I date," she continued.
Surely the time will come soon — especially since it looks like she’s fallen for Adams pretty hard.
We wish nothing but more happy times ahead for these two, and have a pretty big feeling that Phil and Claire Dunphy will eventually approve this romance.
