Sara Bareilles had THIS beautiful thing to say for anyone recovering or healing from surgery

Sara Bareilles, the creator and singer of Broadway’s acclaimed musical Waitress, revealed some shocking news today on Instagram: she’s been recovering from uterine fibroid surgery! Get well soon, Sara!

According to WebMD, uterine fibroids are “benign lumps that grow on the uterus. Symptoms may include heavy periods, cramping, painful sex, and an urge to urinate. Treatment options include hysterectomy, embolization, and hormone therapy.” Yikes.

Luckily, Sara was not alone. She had both her mother Bonnie Halvorsen and sister Jennifer Bareilles by her side, as we see in her Instagram collage:

Next to the photo collage, Sara shares some personal reflections brought on by her experience. She writes:

Wow. We wish we could write so flawlessly while recovering from surgery!

Sara continues:

That’s some wisdom we could all use.

She finishes with a joke and a promise of a speedy recovery:

She’s right. Go out and share some joy today, guys.
