How many times has “Lady Bird” actress Saoirse Ronan been nominated for an Oscar?

Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird took home the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy earlier this year, and the coming-of-age drama will now contend for Best Picture at the 90th Academy Awards. Lady Bird stars Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf as a mother-daughter duo traversing the trials and tribulations of adolescence against the backdrop of Sacramento, California.

Lady Bird received four Golden Globe nominations in January, with actress Saoirse Ronan taking home the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy award. With a total of five Lady Bird nominations for the Oscars this year, Ronan is once again vying for the Best Actress category. Metcalf is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress; Gerwig is contending for a Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. If Ronan takes home the award this weekend, it would mark her first-ever Oscar win.

However, it’s hardly Ronan‘s first Oscar nomination.

Lady Bird actually marks Ronan’s third Oscar nomination. Ronan’s first Oscar nom was in 2008 for Best Supporting Actress in the drama Atonement. Starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, Atonement follows the perils of two lovers torn apart by a life-altering lie at the hands of Ronan’s character. And get this: Ronan was only 13 years old at the time of nomination. Um, teenager goals! Additionally, Ronan was nominated for her second Oscar in 2016 for Best Actress in the film Brooklyn, which follows a young Irish immigrant (Ronan) in 1950s Brooklyn, New York.

How adorable is baby Saoirse at her first Oscars ceremony?

Ronan will be vying for Best Actress at the 2018 Oscars alongside Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Meryl Streep (The Post), Margot Robbie (I, Tonya), and Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri).

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 90th Academy Awards will air on Sunday, March 4th on ABC at 5 p.m. PST.
