Zombie Drew Barrymore has the *perfect* family in this new “Santa Clarita Diet” featurette
We never knew how much we needed Zombie Drew Barrymore in our lives until right now. Honestly, how have we been going on for so long without her? Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer to meet her IRL, because in one short week the latest Netflix original series, The Santa Clarita Diet will hit Netflix, and we are READY.
The show isn’t just about Zombie Drew Barrymore, who we will now start referring to as as her character, Sheila. Sheila is a realtor in Santa Clarita, California and after some sort of ~life altering~ experience, she wakes up one day craving human flesh. You know how it goes.
Sheila’s not alone during this zombie-awakening, as she’s got her doting husband Joel (played by Timothy Olyphant) by her side. Also, her teenager daughter Abby (Liv Hewson) who is going to have so much material for a really great college essay. When we first meet the Hammond family, they’re just like a regular family doing regular things. And then they start murdering people!

But, the family that goes through a zombie-transformation together, stays together.
The Santa Clarita Diet honestly looks like Breaking Bad, if Walter and Jesse were using their pest control business to murder people, and also one of them was a zombie. Now add in the added GREAT bonus of Netflix binging, and you’ve got our new favorite show. The Santa Clarita Diet drops onto the streaming site February 3rd.
