Sandra Oh is coming back to TV, and oh how we’ve missed her
Ever since Dr. Cristina Yang left Grey’s Anatomy (which is getting a pretty awesome spinoff, btw) there’s been huge hole in our hearts. We need our weekly dose of Sandra Oh — and a handful of American Crime episodes just aren’t cutting it.
Thankfully, it looks like our beloved Sandra Oh is coming back to TV, but this time she’s not working in an ER.
Instead, she’ll be playing a wannabe spy in a brand new BBC America thriller called Killing Eve, marking the first time Oh’s been cast as a series regular since her epic 10-season run on Shonda Rhimes’ medical series.

Killing Eve is an 8-episode drama from Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who will serve as the showrunner and executive producer. The show is centered around a psychopathic assassin and the strong, badass lady who must hunt her down.
So, it doesn’t have a McDreamy or McSteamy, like we’re used to. But, it has a McPsychopath and McAssassin.
Oh plays the title role of Eve, a security services operative who’s bored with her desk job and fantasizes about becoming a spy. Villanelle, the other yet-to-be-cast lead, is the psychopathic killer it looks like Eve goes on a quest to hunt down.
Killing Eve was picked up by BBC America in November and is expected to air sometime in 2018 — and honestly, it can’t come soon enough.
