Sam Smith dropped the video for his Bond song, ‘Writing’s On The Wall.’ Guess who makes a cameo?
Ten days after releasing the audio for his dramatic Bond ballad, “Writing’s On The Wall,” Sam Smith is already treating us to some chilly visuals.
The video’s release appropriately coincides with Global James Bond Day, a new holiday invented by the film series to celebrate the anniversary of the first bond film, Dr. No (1962).
Shot in Rome, the video features beautifully symmetrical shots of Sam Smith pensively singing among stark monuments, one of which is lined with caskets adorned in Union Jack flags. The rest of the video is supplemented with footage from Spectre, which was also shot in Rome. Keep your eyes peeled for those few scenes between Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci, and Léa Seydoux.
Sam, who co-wrote the song with longtime collaborator Jimmy Napes, is the first British male solo artist to record the Bond theme song in 50 years.
Spectre hits theaters on November 6, but you can get a taste of the film, below. Happy Global James Bond Day!
