There are now “Sailor Moon” beauty products that will help us fight acne by moonlight
It’s been 25 years since the original guardian of the galaxy graced us with her presence, so in honor of Sailor Moon‘s birthday, Shiseido is releasing two luxe face products. The latest beauty brand to get inspired by Sailor Moon, the Japanese company unveiled a pair of foundations this week with the tagline, “Moon Prism Power Makeup!”
The cosmetics will be released under Shiseido’s MAQuillAGE line, and the packaging is giving off major Sailor Moon vibes, with stars and crescent moons abounding. The two products, Dramatic Skin Sensor Base UV foundation and Dramatic Powdery UV foundation, are sure to give you that anime glow.
Unfortunately, the products appear to be available only in very light shades, so you may end up looking like pale-skinned Sailor Moon no matter what your natural complexion. ?
The foundations are priced at about $24 for the Skin Sensor Base, which is designed to help control acne, and $28 for the Powdery UV product, which is ultra-light and soft on the skin. You can also purchase the products as a set from Premium Bandai for about $61, complete with a decorative velvet pouch and commemorative sticker, beginning April 21st. Both face products will be available on Shiseido’s Japanese website.
Unless you’re familiar with the ins and outs of shopping on Japanese websites, it appears that only the most dedicated North American moon enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on these products. When you do, though, we’ll be ready and waiting for your reviews!
