Melissa Joan Hart says a “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” reboot could happen
Everyone stay calm, but Melissa Joan Hart dropped some MAJOR news on the talk show FABLifeyesterday. According to Buzzfeed, the actress revealed that after taping the show, she was headed to a meeting about a possible reboot of either Sabrina the Teenage Witch or Clarissa Explains It All.
Our question: can’t we have both?
Of course, the audience (and the world) immediately freaked out upon hearing this news, but Melissa was quick to clear a few things up.
“They’re throwing around Clarissa and Sabrina ideas,” she told FABLife. “It depends on who’s gonna give up rights, who’s gonna do it, how’s it going to be done. It’s a lot of politics and we are nowhere near doing anything.”
That’s not going to stop us from imagining what it would be like to have one of those shows back on our screens. We’d love to check in with Clarissa and have her explain modern life to us, or see what life is like with Sabrina, perhaps with a witch daughter of her own. Would there be even more talking cats?
Melissa spoke about the possibility of a reboot earlier this month with Huffington Post, saying:
As far as we’re concerned, any type of reboot is a good reboot and we would welcome either (or both!) Sabrina the Teenage Witch or Clarissa Explains It All with all our hearts. We hope that all those executives and producers hear our collective cries of joy and give us what we so desperately want. Trust us, if we could point our finger and make this all happen today, we would.
