Although Melissa Joan Hart has played many lovable and memorable characters throughout her career — Clarissa Darling in Clarissa Explains It All, Mel Burke in Melissa & Joey, and Jennifer in My Fake Fiancé — our all-time favorite Hart character is Sabrina Spellman from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In honor of Hart’s 42nd birthday on April 18th, we’ve pulled together our favorite Sabrina the Teenage Witch memes, so we can all share a good laugh while celebrating Hart.

We pretty much grew up with Hart’s Sabrina Spellman during the seven seasons Sabrina was on the air, between 1996 and 2003. We watched her and Harvey Kinkle fall in love, then break up, and then fall in love again. We LOL-ed at every snide (yet relatable) remark Salem made in each episode. And to be honest, we kind of felt like Hilda and Zelda were our own aunts who were guiding us through the basics of witchcraft while teaching us important life lessons along the way.

The dark reboot of Sabrina headed to Netflix (called The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is not going to look anything like the ’90s Sabrina that molded our childhood. Although she’s not necessarily stoked about the idea, Hart admitted that the reboot’s creators are approaching the material in a smart way by changing it up.

She told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, "If you’re going to do the same show, it probably would fall on its face."

That’s especially true for Sabrina because there’s nothing from the original sitcom to redo. It’s perfect as it stands. With jokes like the following, it was destined for eternal glory.
