Ryan Reynolds won “Favorite Movie Actor” at the People’s Choice Awards, and it’s about time!
We don’t think we’re exaggerating when we say that Ryan Reynolds is known for his talent and pitch-perfect comedic delivery (not to mention, he radiates charm from every pore). That’s why we’re not really all that surprised that Reynolds won “Favorite Movie Actor” at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards.
Congratulations, Ryan!
After not getting that Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy (aka, that time when he mouth kissed Andrew Garfield and gave us a picture to repeat in our minds for the rest of our lives), he deserved some recognition. Because Reynolds has been a movie staple for literally years, delivering his best every time, yet somehow evading those elusive trophies come award season.
So, BRAVO SIR!
Reynolds had to beat out some seriously talented actors for this category too!
Kevin Hart, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hanks and Will Smith were also up for this super competitive category. They’re all incredibly talented and worked on incredible movies this year, so this is a huge accomplishment.
Reynolds’ win comes just moments after wife Blake Lively won the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress” and used her platform to give an incredible speech about girl power (which we loved, btws). It is seriously an amazing night for both of them, and they should both be super proud of their accomplishments.
So congratulations, Ryan. The people have spoken and we can’t wait to see what you work on next! (Mostly Deadpool 2 in 2018, which we’re insanely excited for).
