Is Ryan Lochte’s hair actually turning green from the pool water at the Olympics?
Olympic star swimmer Ryan Lochte is undeniably hot. Like, let’s just get that out of the way.
I mean…
And after Lochte dyed his hair silver, specifically for the Rio Olympics, it seems like EVERYONE cannot get enough of this swimming silver fox.
In fact, everyone has become so obsessed with his hair, that people (even media outlets) keep saying, “OMG his hair is actually turning GREEN from the chlorine in the pool!”
And if you look at Lochte’s most recent social media posts, yeah his hair looks less silver and more, well, neon green/blue.
Like in this image, for example.
But, like is his hair REALLY turning color?!
Here’s what that actual photo looks like without any photo-retouching.
This photo was taken on August 9th, just after Team USA won the gold medal for the Men’s 4×200 Freestyle Relay. Sure, his hair doesn’t look AS silver as it did when he first got it done, but we’re suspect.
And here’s a photo of Lochte and his hair from that same medal ceremony on the SAME day.
We don’t know about you, but like that hair looks SILVER AF.
Is Ryan just over-filtering his images before posting? And is THAT why his hair appears greenish blue?
Look, we’re all guilty of overusing filters, right? But what in the actual hell is happening with Ryan’s hair?!?!?!?! I mean, he’s wearing a swim cap after all in these races, so how much exposure to the chlorine is his hair actually getting?
We don’t know what the ~real~ answer is, so in the meantime, we’ll just enjoy this lovely, lovely photo of his glorious abs.
“What hair?!”
