Controversial Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and his fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid, are officially expecting a bundle of joy. Lochte announced his engagement to the Playboy model this past October with a gushing, oh-so-romantic Instagram post, and he chose to approach their baby news the same way — only with a very Ryan Lochte twist.
On Wednesday, December 14th, both Lochte and Reid posted underwater shots of Lochte kissing Reid’s stomach to their Instagram accounts. Lochte captioned his “My Christmas gift came early this year, can’t wait for next year! Best news I’ve ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017.”
Reid, whose photo captures a slightly different angle, wrote “Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you! ❤️??? #weareprego #omg #2017.”
Lochte, who is 32, recently told E! News that he wanted to have kids with Reid, 25, as soon as possible.
“Before I even got engaged, I wanted a family of my own,” he explained. “I wanted to find the right one first and then have kids with her. Now that I’ve found the right one, that’s something we definitely talk about … we want kids and I mean, I’m ready to be a dad.”
