Ryan Gosling had the smarmiest response to why he kept breaking character on “SNL”

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 43rd season on Saturday (yes, 43 freaking seasons) with Ryan Gosling as its host and Jay-Z as the musical guest, and tbh, Gosling did a really good job hosting. Yeah, the episode went off the rails toward the end (but doesn’t it always), and Gosling could not stop laughing.

It was kinda cute and reminded us of when Jimmy Fallon used to break when he was a cast member, but it was also like, bruh — stop laughing.

Gosling was just amused af, we suppose. Vanity Fair counted and he broke six times during the episode.

Gosling went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and explained to Kimmel why he couldn’t stop laughing on SNL.

"I have this weird disorder where when I find something funny, I laugh. I’m working on it, he said with a smile.

???????

The SNL appearance marked Gosling’s daughter Amada’s first trip to New York, and apparently it didn’t go super well.

“I brought her to the window in the morning and I said, ‘Sweetheart, welcome to New York,’” Gosling also revealed on Kimmel. “And two cars went smash, and smoke started pouring out of the cars, and these two guys got out and I won’t repeat the hand gestures for you, but I just quickly covered her eyes and ran away from the window.”

Hosting SNL and your daughter learning how to give the finger? Sounds like a pretty standard New York experience to us. ?
