Ryan Gosling just gave the most subtle shout-out to his dog, George

While in London to help promote his new movie Blade Runner 2049, Ryan Gosling paid tribute to his dog with one very special accessory. It just proves that celebrities are just like us — they miss their furry pets when they’re not around.

Gosling has talked about George a lot in the past — which is somewhat out-of-character, as he’s typically pretty private about his home life. But here’s what we know — Gosling reportedly rescued the pup from a shelter back in 2000, and he frequently joined Gosling on set. The two were pretty much a dynamic duo. In fact, when he was promoting Crazy, Stupid, Love back in 2011, he brought George on stage for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Now, for the sad news — while he’s never confirmed it, we’re getting the feeling that George may no longer be with us. The last time George was seen in public, it was back in 2016 when Gosling and Eva Mendes took him to the animal hospital. The two didn’t offer any updates to the public after the spotting.

Still, that makes the ode even sweeter — it’s proof that George is still with him during these big events.

A few years back, the actor referred to George as being “the great love of my life,” and yes, we’re sure that Mendes understands.

There’s something very special about the bond between a person and their dog.

In that same interview, which was for The Independent back in 2013, Gosling almost seemed a little restless without his buddy by his side.

"I wanted George here today, you know, doing interviews with me," he said. "Normally, I take him everywhere, I have special paperwork so he can travel with me wherever I go. Can we just talk about George?"

We hope that by wearing his tags, Gosling found some comfort. No matter what, George will always be with him.
