Ryan Gosling says his daughter’s first day in NYC was not ideal, and LOL

True New Yorkers will tell you there’s nothing like the sights and sounds of the city…so it’s no surprise that when he brought his daughter Amada to New York City, Ryan Gosling was excited to show her the Big Apple’s magic. But her first day didn’t go quite as planned, and you’ll crack up when you hear him tell the story.

Hot on the heels of his triumphant (and hilarious!) hosting gig at Saturday Night Live, Gosling and wife Eva Mendes introduced their two darling daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, to the most bustling city in the world. But in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gosling revealed that his youngest daughter Amada had an experience that could only happen in New York.

Gosling explained to Kimmel that, “My youngest daughter is a year and a half, and it was her first time in New York. I brought her to the window in the morning and I said, ‘Sweetheart, welcome to New York!’ And two cars went smash!”

With that signature Gosling laugh, he added, "Smoke started pouring out of the cars and these two guys got out and I won't repeat the hand gestures for you, but I quickly covered her eyes and ran away from the window."

Kimmel then chimed in, “She learned to give the finger in New York! That’s a very New York experience,” and Gosling agreed wholeheartedly…LOL.

Though we’re sure Amada wasn’t permanently traumatized by the signature New York charm, anyone who’s been to NYC can certainly attest to minor car crashes, inappropriate hand gestures, and a little bit of yelling as part of the big city experience.

Here’s hoping that Gosling, Mendes, and their two little ladies still had a fabulous time on their trip, and will come back again soon.
