Ryan Gosling and Britney Spears reunited for the first time since The Mickey Mouse Club, and whoa
Ryan Gosling is currently knee-deep in press for his new film First Man, and like any good Hollywood star, he stopped by The Ellen Show to promote it. However, during his Ellen episode, Britney Spears decided to make a surprise appearance to announce she has an even bigger announcement coming on October 18th, 2018 (hmmm) and it turned into an All-New Mickey Mouse Club reunion. If you recall, Spears and Gosling were members of the show during its early ’90s revival, along with Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and JC Chasez.
Unfortunately, the two did not cross paths on-camera at Ellen but linked up backstage for a photo-op. That said, it sounds like they had a chance to reconnect backstage, which Gosling admitted was the first time they’d seen each other since they filmed the show as kids.
"Neither of us could remember," Gosling said of the last time he and Spears saw each other. "Which I think is a sign that it's been quite a while."
DeGeneres asked the actor what he remembered about his time on the show, and he admitted that he always thought Spears was “freakishly talented.”

"I remember when we first got to the show, they sort of had all the kids perform for one another," he said. "I remember it was Christina Aguilera and then Britney performed and I remember thinking, 'Okay, so they're like freakishly talented.' I was used to working with talented people but that was another level."
