FYI, Rufio from “Hook” grew up to be a super suave adult

25 years ago (in December), one of our favorite childhood films “Hook” first graced the silver screen. And while superstars like Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, and Dustin Hoffman perfectly tackled their iconic Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook roles, respectively, we were also introduced to a new era of Lost Boys.

The new leader of these Lost Boys? Rufio, of course. Or should I say RU-FI-OOOOOOOO!

Played by actor Dante Basco at the tender age of 16, Rufio became an icon for every kid in the ’90s. With his impressive tri-hawk, all black-and-red leather outfit, and general “whoa, this guy is SO COOL”-ness, we were in love from moment one.

So, we wondered what iconic cool-kid Rufio (really, Basco) looks like now! And, SPOILER ALERT: he’s still very cool (and very adorable).

Rufio (Dante Basco) then.

Dante Basco now.

Still rockin’ the BLACK AND RED ~look~!!!

And yeah, still totally suave AF.

Less Lost Boy and more DAMN, Boy!

Don’t worry, Dante is still very much one with nature, or in this case a “big ass tree.” Hehe.

And, if you’re very lucky, you may still catch him walkin’ around with a sword.

Still gettin’ around on some ~hawt~ wheels, too!
