Ruby Rose wrote a beautiful message about love on Instagram, and everyone needs to read it

Ruby Rose — Australian model, DJ, and actress (you might recognize her from OITNB) — took to Instagram yesterday to remind us all that celebrity love is just like any other kind of love, and it deserves some privacy.

She wrote a lovely message about how, although her parents never married or divorced, she witnessed many friends who were deeply affected by their parents’ divorce when they were adults. “The only way they got over it was by realizing their parents were human just like them.” She reminds us that sometimes things just don’t work out. She writes, “If you think about an ex you had a great time with but it came to an amicable end you can understand sometimes it’s just what happens.

She then loops this back into celebrity relationships. Ruby understands that we get invested in these couples just like we would if they were our friends, but she gently asks,”If the relationship ends why do people assume something happened or someone is to blame? Why do they think they know anything about the relationship to be able to make a better call than those in it?

Love is a beautiful thing,” she continues. “Some love one person their whole life, others love many, some never find love, and sadly some get so hurt so many times they get broken and stop looking.

Okay, this is turning out to be some of the best breakup advice ever. It’s such a beautiful reminder that even though things don’t always go according to plan, there is no right or wrong way to go about your love life, and nobody should ever judge others for what they’re going through.

So if a woman moves on from a relationship… after a breakup, isn’t that beautiful?” she gets us thinking. “That someone can still continue to open their hearts to people despite times in their lives I’m sure it’s been broken…

Ruby wants the world to know that just because a woman moves on to another partner doesn’t mean she’s disrespecting her ex. “New love never erases old love,” she says. She wants us all to stop judging women for their choices in love, because opening your heart isn’t a weakness. It’s “one of the scariest things to do.

Date who you want, love you want, love is the most valuable thing in the world and nothing comes remotely close to its significance during our time on this planet.

She then took to Twitter to dish out one more gem. false

Virtual hug, Ruby. You’re our rock.
