Rubert Grint just told us he doesn’t think Ron and Hermione would make it, and now our hearts are broken

Say it isn’t so! Rupert Grint (aka Harry Potter’s BFF Ron Weasley) just dropped a Harry Potter bombshell that has us crying our Muggle hearts out.

At a recent event at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, Grint revealed that he didn’t think Ron and Hermione would have much of a chance IRL. “I don’t think that relationship would have done very well,” he said, according to Huffington Post. “I would expect Ron has probably divorced Hermione already.”

Um, WHAT?!

At the risk of sounding as though we’re taking sides (who are we kidding…we’re totally taking sides), if any divorce was going to happen, we’re thinking Hermione would have been the one to do the leaving. Not the other way around. Just saying. I mean, let’s face it. Ron Weasley was the one marrying up in that scenario.

It sounds like Grint actually agrees, because when asked what he thinks would happen to Ron after the divorce, he said, “He’s living on his own, in a little one-bedroom apartment. He hasn’t got a job.” OUCH.

Oh, and he agrees that Ron Weasley would totally be on Tinder. (Because of course he would.) But alas, he’d be a perpetual swipe left. (That’s what you get for ditching our girl, Ron.)
