Roy Moore’s horse has its own Twitter and it’s a satirical dream

In case you missed it, Roy Moore lost the Alabama special election after he arrogantly rode in on a horse to cast his vote. The only good thing to come out of the whole weird scene is that Roy Moore’s horse has its own Twitter account now (@RoyMooresHorse), and it’s a thing of beauty.

"I DID NOT CHOOSE THIS LIFE," the horse's pinned tweet reads. "PLEASE, IF HE WINS HE WILL RIDE ME INTO WASHINGTON AND I AM SCARED OF CARS."

The account is exactly the kind of silly, satirical response that we needed to deal with the utter ridiculousness that is a grown man showing up to vote for himself on a horse. Roy Moore’s horse is obviously suffering and feeling trapped under the weight of a racist who’s been accused of sexually assaulting minors. Its tweets deliver the message loud and clear, and the public is behind it all the way.

The Twitter sphere can’t get enough of the diary of this horse, which has garnered over 20,000 followers in the 24 hours that the account has been active. It’s even followed by Rachel Maddow. Despite the quick popularity to befall the horse, it will be interesting to see if the followers and the schtick last now that Moore has lost the race.

Though, the horse does seem to be happy about the Doug Jones win.

"I did not ask for this. I am just a horse. I had no choice in the matter. My name is 'Sassy.' For real," says the horse's Twitter bio.

If we’ve learned anything from this, it’s that animal cruelty is still alive and well. #FreeSassy.
