Rowan Blanchard wore faux bangs, and this is the perfect way to experiment with fringe
We’re still parsing through all of our favorite looks from New York Fashion Week, both on the runway and off it. All our favorite stars descended upon the city while dressed to the nines, and we are living for it. One of our favorites was Rowan Blanchard’s sweet, chic hair look at the Calvin Klein show where she debuted faux bangs.
Rowan’s hairstylist, Laurie Heaps, has long wanted to do bangs on Rowan, and NYFW presented itself as the perfect opportunity to do so. In a press release sent to HelloGiggles, Laurie said:
"Since it was NYFW, it was the perfect time to try something different. I'm loving her cut and effortless texture. I thought, 'How can I change it up a little while keeping it effortless — let's do a faux fringe!'"
Celebs are all about the faux bang, and we don’t blame them. It’s the perfect way to experiment with bangs without committing to an actual cut. Bangs can be fun, kicky, and cute, but they’re a real pain to grow out. If you feel like playing it safe and are nervous to get bangs, this is definitely the way to go.
We’re loving this look on Rowan, though, and hope she takes the plunge
To achieve this look, Laurie used the V Bang from The Hair Shop and customized it by cutting it to make the bang piece-y and uneven. You would never know it isn’t Rowan’s actual hair.
