Rosie O’Donnell just changed her Twitter avatar to her as Steve Bannon, and our brains just broke
Rosie O’Donnell, a.k.a. Donald Trump’s arch nemesis, has launched a campaign to play Steve Bannon on Saturday Night Live.
The idea is hilariously awesome enough, but on Thursday, the outspoken comedian changed her Twitter avatar to a photoshopped image of her as Steve Bannon. The result is AMAZING.
Made by artist Jonathan Smith, Rosie’s face super-imposed over Trump’s Chief Strategist is the best argument for a Rosie O’Donnell SNL performance we’ve ever seen.
O’Donnell launched her campaign after Melissa McCarthy’s turn on SNL as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. The performance made major waves, and caused great distress within Trump’s inner circle.
Sources within the White House informed media that the president had been upset that Spicer was played by a woman. The Twittersphere responded by calling on SNL to have all of Trump’s male staffers portrayed by women.
Then, someone tweeted directly at Rosie, asking her to take up the torch. To which Rosie replied, “I am here to serve…I would need a few days to prepare — so if called — I will be ready.”
Trump, @Rosie, was upset that a staffer was played by a woman, and you do a great impression of him. Willing to take one for the team?

And then she solidified her bid by posting her new Avatar on Twitter.
Celebs were swift to join her cause.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any better…

Allow us to make our own plea: PLEASE SNL. We’re looking to you for guidance in these trying times. Help us shed some much-needed humor onto this bizarro year. Bring Rosie O’Donnell on as Steve Bannon. DO IT.
