We finally have a premiere date for the “Roseanne” revival, and it’ll be here before we know it

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. We *finally* have a premiere date for the Roseanne revival! We’ve been following the news about this project so eagerly and so often that it feels like forever since we first heard that Roseanne was coming back (it hasn’t been forever, TBH, but that’s how much we want it back in our lives, like now). So, needless to say, we’re beyond excited to finally have an official premiere date. Without further ado, drumroll please…

Mark your calendars (and clear your schedules) for March 27th!

We’ve known for a while that the whole cast is coming back: Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman, and Lecy Goranson have all been attached for a while. Even Sarah Chalke, who played Becky in the later seasons, will get a chance to come back with a new role. And we recently found out that Johnny Galecki will reprise his role!

We seriously can’t wait to return to that ol’ familiar Conner kitchen for some laughs and family bonding and/or drama. And in addition to the full original cast, two actors have also been cast as David and Darlene’s children! Which, we’re pumped about, but also a little nervous, since Galecki will only be in one episode. Do with that what you will…

But back to the long-awaited return: The brand-new installment of Roseanne will air on March 27th at 8 pm in an hour-long premiere!

ABC even dropped a ‘lil teaser that’s getting us PUMPED.

After Roseanne premieres (in 2018! Pinch us, we’re dreaming), it will return to its usual half-hour format on Tuesdays at 8 pm. We’re a little sad the hour-long thing won’t just be a new feature of the season since, y’know, the more Roseanne in our lives the better, but we’ll take what we can get.

Official countdown begins now…
