We now know how Ron Swanson from “Parks and Rec” feels about this election, and it’s surprising!
As you know, the country’s political climate keeps heating up as the presidential election gets closer — less than a month away(!). As you also probably know, many people are not shy about posting their political beliefs on social media, including Facebook and Twitter.
The latest person to do so is Nick Offerman. Yes, Nick Offerman who played our beloved Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation.
If Ron were voting in this year’s presidential election, would he choose Donald Trump? Or Hillary Clinton?
Any guesses?
Here’s what Nick tweeted (on Ron’s behalf, of course).
I am frequently asked how Ron Swanson would weigh in on this election. I was able to contact a source close to Ron and here is the result: pic.twitter.com/2A0JWEgpgu

We’re still laughing…
But back to business. What did the twitterverse think?
Of course, the opinions varied.
@benjhaisch Funny but no way a Swanson would ever touch a Clinton.

I would like Duke Silver to weigh in on this, because Duke loves the ladies and the ladies love Duke.

Instead, maybe this is the answer to everything.

#RonSwansonForPresident, anyone?
After all, he’s had leadership experience as Leslie Knope’s boss.
He’s never short on doling out advice.
He’s willing to try new things.
And, he has good hair.
However, we’re not sure ~everyone~ would be excited about #RonSwansonForPresident.
In the meantime, we’ll just stick to reading Offerman’s, erm Swanson’s, tweets.
