Rod Stewart created a new version of “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” with DNCE and it’s amazing

There’s a chance that you haven’t thought about the song “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” by Rod Stewart in quite some time. The classic jam hit airwaves in 1978 — and while it was funny to us as kids, it was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. So, it’s safe to say it was a huge success for the singer.

Since a lot of songs are getting “reboots” (like “The Thong Song” by Sisqo) Stewart decided to jump on the trend and release a brand new version of “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” with a little help from the band DNCE. Stewart has been promoting it both as “Da Ya” and “Do Ya” — probably because more people seem to know it as the latter.

The reboot came out today, and we’re all about it.

Here it is in its entirety:

Dig it? We do too. The good news is that Stewart and DNCE will perform the new version at the MTV VMAs this year. We seriously can’t wait to see what the performance is like.

Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long, as the show will be airing this Sunday.

If DNCE is a group that seems familiar to you, it could be due to the fact that the group includes Joe Jonas. The group is still fairly new — in fact, they just released their debut single back in 2015. Thus, it’s pretty amazing that they decided to partake in this opportunity with Stewart. Especially since the song originally hit the charts before the bandmembers were born.

We have a feeling that the live version is going to heat up the VMAs.
