Robin Williams’ final movie trailer is out, and it’s wrecking us
Robin Williams had a knack for making us laugh until we cried, but rarely did his movies make us flat-out cry (save for a few — Awakenings, Patch Adams, Good Will Hunting). But Williams was multifaceted. His talent was immense. And we miss him terribly. Since his death, some of his final projects have been trickling into the movie-sphere—The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb—are the very last comedies he made. But he also starred in one last drama: Boulevard. And this one stands out in a beautiful, poignant way.
In Boulevard, Williams’ character plays an unhappy bank manager named Nolan whose marriage starts rapidly crumbling as soon as he meets Leo. Leo is the catalyst that makes Nolan realize that although he loves his wife —it’s time to confront something he’s been in denial about his entire life: his sexuality.
Judging by the trailer, the film highlights Williams’ range, and shows the incredible, nuanced actor he was. Also featuring Kathy Baker and Bob Odenkirk, Boulevard will no doubt be our summer must-see. Watch the trailer here!
