“Riverdale’s” Pussycats performed for the first time LIVE at Comic-Con, and it was amazing
This past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of Riverdale was everywhere. They not only had a panel and did interviews, but The Pussycats also stopped by the Warner Bros. TV party to perform live for the very first time — EVER. And it was amazing.
The Warner Bros. TV party was every Riverdale fan’s dream. There was a full set-up of Pop’s, a place to grab some Pussycat ears, and even a milkshake stand. And yes, this Riverdale-obsessed writer was totally freaking out.

But nothing was more exciting than when The Pussycats themselves jumped on stage to perform LIVE for the very first time for partygoers. Camila Mendes (Veronica), Ashleigh Murray (Josie), Hayley Law (Valerie), and Asha Bromfield (Melody) performed a medley of songs for the entranced crowd.
Then, it got every better! Cheryl Blossom herself, Madelaine Petsch, joined in for a short verse during “Sugar.” Luckily, we managed to capture a bit of her performance to enjoy forevermore. Enjoy it below!

The next day, Executive Producer Sarah Schechter noted that this was the first ever live performance of the group and joked that, “by Wonder Con, [they’ll] have a tight hour” ready to perform live. Honestly, we’d love that. Can we also get a Pussycats tour?! We also found out that in Season 2, we’ll get more Pussycats performances on Riverdale. You’ll want to especially keep those (Pussycat) ears tuned in to Episode 2 — hint hint.
Season 2 of Riverdale will air on a new night this fall. The premiere will drop October 11th at 8 p.m. on The CW.
