Rihanna just Snapchatted her new music video
Rihanna just took to Snapchat to reveal several sneak peek videos of the upcoming music video for “Work”, and they are hot! The track comes from her latest studio album, Anti.
Rihanna posted seven clips total to give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the filming for the video. The single is a duet with Drake, but he isn’t featured in any of the clips. There’s still a huge chance that he’ll be in the final music video, though.
The video looks like it’s going to be a party! Rihanna is surrounded by a slew of backup dancers getting down. In it, Rihanna is sporting a super stylish blunt-cut bob and wearing a mesh dress. Looking fierce, Riri! In one clip you can catch her getting low and fanning herself with some cash.
The music video was filmed in both Los Angeles and Toronto. According to CBC, there was open casting call in Toronto for professional and non-professional dancers (why did I not get this memo?). The casting directors were apparently looking for 60 men and women between the ages of 19 and 40, and said that the video would be shot dancehall style. You can clearly feel the dancehall vibes in the clips Rihanna released.
I don’t think anyone ever doubted that Rihanna knew how to have a good time, but this music video looks like a blast! You can check out all of the behind-the-scenes clips on RihChat.
Rihanna is set to perform at the 2016 Grammys on February 15. RiRi herself is a 10-time Grammy winner. She’s predicted to perform her new song, “When We Were Young”.
