Rihanna rocked ’90s thin brows on the cover of British Vogue, because she’s Rihanna
The bold feathered brow trend has reigned supreme for the past few years now; indeed, it has been harrowing for the thin-browed among us. A fluffy brow is magnificent but it can be hard to achieve. And if Rihanna‘s British Vogue cover is any indication, it might be time to bust out those tweezers. The megastar may have recently debuted a short bob hairstyle, but all eyes are on RiRi’s thin, ’90s-esque eyebrows for the September 2018 issue of British Vogue.
Rocking both Savage x Fenty lingerie and Fenty Beauty, Rihanna’s cover shoot features a whimsical and eclectic haute couture look made all the more dramatic by her thin, arched brows. This retro, penciled-on look hasn’t been seen for decades. While we’re pretty sure only Rihanna could pull this off, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the ’90s trend make a comeback.
Everything about this photo shoot is beyond superb. Her soft eye makeup, her ultra-glossy, ombré lip, and the drawn on brows come together to create a look that is both artful, romantic, and oddly wearable.
You’ll be able to pick up Rihanna’s British Vogue cover on August 3rd.
It’s absolutely magical.
Rihanna made sure to credit all the talented people who helped make her look ultra-fabulous. The shoot was styled by Edward Enninful and photographed by Nick Knight.
In our humble opinion, the combination of the Prada dress and gloves with the Savage x Fenty lace bodysuit is beyond.
Rihanna’s beauty team included makeup by Isamaya Ffrench, hair by Yusef, nails by Jenny Longworth, and flowers by Azuma Makoto.
Did we mention that Rihanna is also making history on that cover? She’s reportedly the first black woman to cover the September issue of British Vogue. In his editor’s letter, Edward Enninful, said: “I was determined it would be something special.”
