Rihanna just got a tattoo in honor of Drake, and the meaning behind it is sweet but confusing
Watch out, Jay and Bey, because it very much looks like hip hop has a new power couple. As far as we know, there are no rings on anyone’s fingers, but it looks like Rihanna got a tattoo to honor her relationship with Drake on her foot. Aubrih fans will fine extreme delight in a photo of the latest work by tattoo artist, Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, because the camouflage shark gracing RiRi’s ankle has definite Drake undertones.
When Drake gave that passionate speech presenting Rihanna with the MTV Video Vanguard and then swooped in for the kiss, shippers of the hip hop power couple held their breath — hopeful for some other hint that this meant something other than unrequited love. Commence happy tears, because Rihanna’s tattoo makes it seem like more than just a Drake crush. But what exactly does a camo shark have to do with end-of-summer’s hottest couple?
Well, according to Complex, it all started with a romantic dinner date at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in which Drake reportedly rented out the entire space so the couple could have a private dinner in front of the fish tanks (excuse me, but swoon!). Then, in a further attempt to woo, he proceeded to buy the singer a camouflage shark from the gift shop.
The shark was later spotted seemingly trying to sneak a kiss much like Drake at the VMAs in another couple-y photo of the duo in front of the CN Tower.
