“Rihanna Drive” is coming to Barbados, so start planning your trip
It’s no shocker that we love LOVE Rihanna. Whether she’s making the latest and greatest makeup line or wearing an outfit so good it clears up our acne, Riri is an icon and we know it. We believe she should be immortalized in a myriad of ways: statues, national celebrations, roads. And while the latter may seem a little strange, it’s a reality for Barbados because the country has just announced that a street named after Rihanna is coming. On that note, we’ll be packing up our bags and heading to Barbados ASAP, since this celebration is something we don’t want to miss.
Queen RiRi is getting a street named after her in Barbados.

The government of Barbados revealed that they’ll be changing St. Michael’s Westbury New Road, the street Rihanna grew up on, to “Rihanna Drive.”
And that’s not all. To commemorate the occasion, Barbados’s prime minster and Rihanna herself will reveal the new street sign during a two-hour ceremony on November 30th.
Have you ever dreamed of a beach house on Rihanna Drive? Because we 100% have. In fact, we’ve dreamed of living in a country ruled by Rihanna — but for now, that fantasy will just have to wait.
Of course, in true Riri fashion, November 30th is also Barbados’s Independence Day. While that doesn’t officially mean it’s also Rihanna Day, we’ll just pretend it is. We celebrate every day like Rihanna Day already, so now all we need is a ticket to Barbados. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see this spectacle in the flesh?
We pledge allegiance to Riri.
