At last, Twitter has found Rihanna’s doppelgänger: Indian model Renee Kujur
Few things are more mind blowing than discovering an uncanny celebrity doppelgänger, and social media users tend to freak out when they find one. Whether it’s Beyoncé’s twin or a Taylor Swift’s lookalike, the internet loves a good #twinning situation, and who can blame them?
The latest famous face to have an uncanny secret twin is none other than Rihanna, and the resemblance is REAL people. Renee Kujur is a model from Chhattisgarh, India, and she’s been told she bears a striking resemblance to the Fenty Beauty queen for years.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Kujur revealed that she’s grateful for the Rihanna comparisons, because in her early modeling days she faced prejudice and criticism for her skin tone and features, with photographers and makeup artists often altering her photos to lighten her skin. Kujur credits queen Rih for opening doors for her in the modeling world, saying, “With such deep rooted prejudice in people’s mind, it would have been very tough to get work. The Rihanna factor turned out to be a blessing.”

Though she’s getting a ton of attention these days for the resemblance, Kujur hopes to help shift beauty ideals so that all skin tones are beautiful in the industry. “Few are willing to turn around rules,” she told the Times. For most of the people, beauty strictly means fair skin. It will take time to rewrite set norms, but I am happy I am part of the change.”

In the same interview, Kujur said she would love to meet Rihanna one day. “She in a way turned around destiny for me. I would love to meet her, surprise her and thank her,” she said.
