Rihanna’s no-nonsense dating advice is what all single women need to hear
Rihanna appears on the cover of the September 2018 issue of British Vogue, and besides reinventing the ’90s pin-thin eyebrow, she got real in the interview with some no-nonsense dating advice. Rihanna most famously dated Drake but has recently been linked to billionaire Hassan Jameel. She’s always been very low-key about her relationships, which is perhaps why Ri admitted to British Vogue that fans often ask her for relationship advice. We have no idea what people were expecting from the star, but we’re loving her no BS approach to dating.
"I get a lot of boy-advice questions," Rihanna told British Vogue. "I think a lot of people meet people and then they're dating the idea of what the person could become, and that person never shows up and then they're just mad disappointed. A person can always get better, they can always get worse, but you've got to be fine with what you met them as."
Later in the interview, when British Vogue editor in chief Edward Enninful asked Rihanna how she became everyone’s girl crush, the multi-hyphenate laughed and said, “OK, you’re asking the wrong person. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m ‘thicc’ now. I don’t know.”
Rihanna’s admission that she’s “‘thicc’ now” came with an equally no-nonsense approach to body-love.
“I’m about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don’t lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs. I’ll lose some but not all," she admitted. "And I think of my boobs, like ‘Imma lose everything, everything goes!’ But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have to have a gut.
Whether it’s her relationship or her curves, Rihanna self-aware attitude is deeply refreshing to hear.
