Congratulations are in order for Ricky Martin who is engaged to boyfriend Jwan Yosef!
The “Nobody Wants to Be Lonely” singer is definitely in love and now he’s engaged and we are so excited for the happy couple.
On Wednesday, Martin revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he recently proposed to Yosef — who he has been dating for more than a year now — and how he did it will totally warm your heart.
"I proposed. I was really nervous, but I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box — I just had it in a little velvet pouch — and instead of saying 'Would you marry me?' I said, 'I got you something!' Bad!" Martin told the show's host, Ellen DeGenres.
"And then he was like, 'Yes?' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you,' and he was like, 'What is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it," he explained.
It was a bit of a blur for the happy couple, as Martin recalled having to double check that Yosef actually said yes.
"And then 30 minutes after, I said, 'Did you say yes?'" the author and signer revealed. "He said, 'Yes.'"
